VOCTIONAL TRAINING CENTRE AT VIZAG: Vocational Training Centre at VIZAG started to provide livelihood to the young girls and destitute women. Imparting training in Tailoring, embroidery, lace making, soft toys making, jute items preparation, glass paintings, preparation of homemade items like pickles, food items, masala powders, , etc. Few students are also taught stitching of lab coats and aprons. Training is given in Arya and Jardosi works to the interested girls. Few Students even qualified government conducted exams in Tailoring and embroidery. Some have started their own shops with their items. In addition to the small exhibitions at local level a big event took place in 2006. A handicrafts exhibition was organized with the items prepared by the trainees of VTC Vizag on the occasion of Andhra Pradesh Formation Day at New Delhi. An exhibition has also been arranged at Ranga Reddy district at Hyd.on 12th August, 2009.
